1. Insurance Operations Leader

Izzo Insurance Services, a division of Hull & Co., a National Insurance Wholesale Broker & MGA, is seeking an experienced Insurance Operations Leader for its Bloomingdale, IL office. This Leadership position will be responsible for guiding the overall agency work flow and underwriting processes for a national wholesale brokerage program. Insurance experience in a similar leadership capacity is required as you will be providing technical support & underwriting guidance to a team of professionals specializing in a highly successful workers compensation & security guard program.

This is a fast-paced position and potential candidates must be great leaders, energetic, highly-motivated and requires strong organizational and inter-personal skills. We are seeking only those candidates who have demonstrated experience in overseeing all facets of the business in an agency or brokerage setting. This is an exciting opportunity to mentor and develop teammates responsible for customer service and underwriting processes.

Required Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 10 years insurance experience required, preferably in a wholesale agency or brokerage setting
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial lines coverage, rating and policy services
  • Requires strong organizational and inter-personal skills
  • Above average communication, coaching and mentoring skill set
  • Must be able to professionally interact with all levels of office staff as well as providing timely and accurate reports to upper management while adhering to very strict deadlines

2. Accounting Leader

Izzo Insurance Services, a division of Hull & Co., a National Insurance Wholesale Broker & MGA, is seeking an experienced Accounting Leader for its Bloomingdale, IL office. The Accounting Leader will be responsible for all aspects of accounting, budgeting and regulatory compliance for an insurance brokerage office as well as day-to-day accounting, including A/P, A/R, month-end close process and financial statement preparation. This individual must be experienced with Accruals. Additionally, the Accounting Leader will be responsible for HR and payroll functions, and depending on experience, could assist in the overall operations of the agency.

This is a fast-paced position and potential candidates must be great leaders, energetic and highly-motivated. Requires strong organizational and inter-personal skills. Prior insurance experience is highly desired but not required. We are seeking those candidates who have demonstrated experience in an equally detail oriented and fast paced setting, and most importantly familiar with accrual accounting.

Required Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance - MBA preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with accrual method of accounting is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required
  • Minimum 3-5 years insurance experience required
  • Requires strong organizational and inter-personal skills
  • Must be able to professionally interact with all levels of office staff as well as providing timely and accurate reports to upper management while adhering to very strict deadlines
