Izzo Insurance Services, Inc. was founded in 1980 by Karen J. Izzo as a independent agency providing all lines of coverage, while targeting the security industry. For over two decades Izzo Insurance Services has specialized in the security industry which has enabled the agency to proficiently and profitably underwrite the class. Izzo Insurance has grown to be a recognized leader for providing winning solutions for the security industry.

Chronological Look At Izzo Insurance Services, Inc.

  • 1979 and prior - Karen Izzo provided all lines of coverage for security guard & alarm companies.
  • 1980 - Izzo Insurance Services, Inc., first opened in Elmwood Park, Illinois as an independent agency specializing in the security industry, while providing all lines of personal & commercial coverage.
  • 1991 - We developed a mono-line workers' compensation program for the security industry under the proposed guidelines and marketing plan that Izzo Insurance Service, Inc. established. This new program became known as the "Gold Shield AdvantageTM" program and was exclusively available through Izzo Insurance Services, Inc.
  • 1993 - Because of the success of the "Gold Shield AdvantageTM" program, Izzo Insurance Services, Inc. began marketing a comprehensive general liability program through brokers across the country. The "Advantage" was becoming a huge success as it provided comprehensive coverage to the security industry at lower premiums and was continuously profitable for the insurance carriers.
  • 1995 - Additional insurance product lines were added to the "Gold Shield AdvantageTM" program. Izzo Insurance and the "Gold Shield AdvantageTM" were fast becoming a household name in the security industry. The "Gold Shield AdvantageTM" now consisted of general liability, fidelity bonds, employment practices liability, and workers' compensation coverage.
  • 1996 - Because of tremendous sales growth Izzo Insurance Services, Inc. established another program. A mono-line division providing workers' compensation for all industries other than security companies.
  • 1998 - A division providing workers, compensation for non-profit organizations and a division providing consulting services for insurance agencies were added.

Today Izzo Insurance Services has grown to over twenty employees, 500 brokers, and more than 5,000 clients. Going into the new millennium, Izzo Insurance plans to continue their strong profitable growth through the following strategies.
